What is CBD?
CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of many cannabinoids founds in the hemp or cannabis plant. CBD works on your body’s natural endocannabinoid system (ECS) to help maintain homeostasis and balance. There have been at least 113 cannabinoids discovered in the cannabis plant, each exhibiting various effects.
What is the Endocannabinoid System (ECS)?
The ECS can be found in all vertebrate species. The three key components of the ECS are cannabinoid receptors(found on surface of cells), endocannabinoids(small molecules that activate cannabinoid receptors), and metabolic enzymes(break down endocannabinoids after they are used). The two major cannabinoid receptors are CB1 and CB2. CB1 receptors are most abundant in the brain and entire nervous system. CB2 receptors are more abundant outside the nervous system, in places like the immune system.
What does CBD do?
We would love to provide more information about specific results that CBD has given people around the world, but current policy and law prohibits us from doing so. According to the FDA, this product has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration and therefore is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or mitigate any disease. We encourage everyone to look up scientific data and research on CBD using your favorite search engine.
Every product in the Higher Purpose CBD (HP-CBD) line is full-panel lab tested from an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory. Full-panel means every product batch is tested for mycotoxins, residual solvents, pesticides, heavy metals, and other contaminants. The products are also tested for terpenes and other cannabinoids. Every product label has a QR code that can be used to access the lab results. They can be verified on verifycbd.com so you know they are not altered and are the exact documents provided by the laboratory.
How do we know
HP-CBD is pure and contaminant-free?
What is your extraction process?
Our hemp flower extract is made using supercritical CO2 extraction. This is the highest quality extraction method currently available, and prevents unwanted ingredients or impurities from being extracted. CO2 extraction is also considered "green chemistry" because it is a clean and safe process with no negative impact on the environment. There are no residual solvents in our products due to this extraction method. Our lab tests prove it!
